Worth knowing this week

Once you’re done scrolling the comments on local community pages, here are a few other things that have been popping up locally this week. The kind of updates that are easy to miss unless you’re looking for them.

Recycling lithium batteries

There’s been a bit of chat lately about where to recycle lithium batteries. They shouldn’t go in your kerbside bin. Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Bunnings usually have battery recycling bins — if you don’t see one, it’s worth asking at your local store.

I Heart Art Trail

The I Heart Art Trail is on at Narellan Town Centre at the moment. Lots of local artists have pieces on display and it’s one of those things you can stumble across while you’re there.

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day bookings are starting to pop up on socials. If you’re planning a night out, it’s probably a good time to lock something in — some of the local spots book out quickly.

Kids’ winter sports

Winter sport trial sessions and registration days are starting to appear — rugby league, netball, soccer and more. From what I’ve seen, socials are still the quickest way to find current info for local teams.

That’s it for this week. Just a small snapshot of what’s moving around locally.

Take care.
