Let’s Get Started

Happy New Year!

There’s a strange little window at the start of January where life feels half-awake. Adults are easing back into work, routines are being dusted off, and kids are still very much in holiday mode, counting down the days until school actually starts again.

If you’re looking for ways to make the most of these last weeks of freedom, there are some great (and free!) local activities worth popping into your calendar.

You can catch a free science show at Narellan Town Centre from 5–9 January, followed by free science workshops for kids aged 5–12 the following week (12–16 January).

The workshops do require registration, there’s a link below to make it easy. They’re filling up quickly!

It’s also worth checking out the Camden Libraries school holiday program. There’s a full calendar of free events for kids, from decorating your own drink bottle to a teddy bear sleepover. These sessions also require registration, so I’ve included the Camden Council link below.

I hope you find something fun to add to your calendar.

Let’s not forget to eat (well) either. Below is a list of local restaurants that offer a version of a “kids eat free” deal for each day of the week. Please check individual websites or socials before you head out! Think of this as a quick link guide rather than a source of truth. Things change quickly!

I hope you have an amazing week, and keep making the world better just by being in it.

Take care :)
